Award confirmation date - The announcement that AMPL had once again won the Noteworthy water efficient unit award was made by CII on 07th Dec 2021.
Award ceremony detail - It filled our hearts with joy with the announcement of AMPL bagging the award second time in a row from CII. This award was announced in the presence of other leading companies like Reliance, TATA, IOCL, and many others. The award ceremony was hosted on 07th December 2021 in a virtual platform.
How did we qualify for the award - This year we had made some innovations too and we once again chose to apply for “Within the Fence” category. As per the previous award, this year also the award process involved two phases. The first phase involved submission of application which was a challenging task & was screened by an eminent jury of CII. To everyone’s surprise we were qualified for the next level. The next level was remarkably challenging as it involved submitting the workings & justifications for the water saving projects submitted by AMPL. The last and toughest of all was the one-to-one interaction with a jury of around 10+ members who were experts in eminent fields. Answering to the queries raised by the jury was something unimaginable by us. This was again an experience to us and we nailed it again perfectly for the second time in a row.
Award confirmation date - The announcement of AMPL bagging the CII Innovations in Energy efficiency competition award was made on 18th June 2021
Award ceremony detail - It was really an unbelievable moment on CII announcing that AMPL had won the competition amongst industrial giants like Reliance, IOCL, BP, Coca Cola, and many others. The award ceremony was hosted on 18th June 2021 in a virtual platform. Our entire team was filled with joy as our efforts had borne fruit.
How did we qualify for the award - We started off with some hesitation as the application to apply for the competition was received lately from CCI. Hence the application was to be submitted in a very short period. Our team had done a couple of energy saving projects which also reflected in savings of considerable amount of energy. We also understood that CII would be the best of the platform to showcase our energy saving projects. We started compiling them with ample proof to sustain ourselves amongst the toughest of the jury. This was followed by a one-to-one interaction with a jury of around 10+ members who were experts in relevant fields. To answer their questions one by one was a challenge for us. Although we successfully answered to the queries raised by the jury we truly felt that we had very low chance to qualify for the award as there were brands like Reliance, HPCL, IOCL and many others in the list. But to our biggest surprise we were successful in gaining the award.

Award ceremony detail – It will be an ever remembered and remarkable moment in the history of AMPL. The day the award ceremony was announced by FICCI it was truly an inspiring moment as we could see ourselves placed next to the best amongst the industries like Reliance industries and RCFL. The award was conferred at @ Hotel Taj Palace on 17tg March 2021, Delhi. The entire arena was filled with experts and winners of FICCI awards in various other categories. We took great pride in finding ourselves seated amongst brands like Tata industries, Dow chemicals, BPCL, Lanxess India, GAIL, Godrej, Asian Paints, IOCL and many others. The function was presided by the Directors & senior officials of FICCI under the arms of Honourable Minister of state, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways & Minister of state, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri Mansukh Mandaviya. The entire event remains in our heart till this very day.
How did we qualify for the award – Amongst various other categories put forth by FICCI we chose to apply for the FICCI efficiency in water usage award. We had done a considerable amount of savings in our water consumption at our factory. The next immediate thing that striked us was the idea of showcasing achievements done reducing water consumption. Although we felt that we had little chance of victory, we did not hesitate to put forward our findings and innovations done in reduction of water consumption. The application submitted by us was screened by the eminent jury who put forward a couple of queries to make sure we were in the right path. To everyone’s surprise it was a winning moment when we first heard the news from FICCI that we had won the award in a toughest environment which was only possible due to sheer team work.

Award ceremony detail – It was a dream come true on the announcement of AMPL bagging the award from a well renowned body like CII. This award was bestowed in a toughest environment having participated by leading companies like Reliance, TATA, ITC, and many others. The award ceremony was hosted on 16th December in a virtual platform. Our happiness knew no bounds when we found ourselves placed amongst such leading Indian industrial brands.
How did we qualify for the award – After lot of thinking and to be honest, with a hesitation in mind we chose to apply for “Within the Fence” category. We chose this because we were sure we had done a considerable amount of savings in our water consumption at our factory and was only achieved due to sheer teamwork. We wanted to bring this out on CII’s platform, so that we could make our management proud since they have been guiding us endlessly to achieve this goal. The award process involved two phases. The first phase involved submission of application which was a tough job itself & was screened by an eminent jury of CII. The project submitted by us was qualified for the next level. The next level was remarkably challenging as it involved submitting the workings(calculations) as well as justifications for the water saving projects submitted by AMPL. It was not over yet. The tough part was still to come, and this was a one-to-one interaction with an eminent jury of around 10+ members who were industry stalwarts. Answering to the queries raised by the jury was itself a remarkable achievement and brought us a lot of experience which was indeed priceless. The result was - “we did it”.
